📄Ebet Astute BI Troubleshooting
This guide covers Troubleshooting of the Astute Business Intelligence (BI) integration between Bepoz and Ebet
Overview
Astute is the Business Intelligence tool belonging to Ebet.
This setup is basically to configure 2 Transaction reports (Per Venue) to be automatically processed and sent to Ebet daily, in Astute format, via their FTP.
Note: SQL Standard (Full) version is recommended. SQL Free will overload the SQL Server service and slow the site down.
Ebet-Astute will send an email with all the relevant site configuration information
you need. Example Email contents:
Issue 1
Received Files Not Correctly formatted
Troubleshooting Issue 1
Being as the files are exported as CSV, which are Comma Separated Excel files, Product Names should NOT contain Commas.
1. Go through each exported daily file and identify the Culprit Products
2. Contact the Customer (POS Admin/Senior Management) and edit the Products (Short Name only) take out the Commas. But only those Products that are exported to Astute, i.e Not all Products with Comms). Remove the Commas from the Product Names.
3. Send the full database to [all] Venues
4. Reprocess the corrupt (Missing) Astute files.
5. Confirm Astute have received the correct data files.

Files Not Received. (Technical issues)
Issue 2 - Troubleshooting
1. Test the FTP details using FileZilla.

Download Filezilla here and install.

Enter the path and credentials as per the Config.xml file.

Is the FTP working? If No move on.
Test on Canyouseeme.org, see if FTP is blocked.

Open Canyouseeme.org put in the port 21 and test. If Not Successful see below.

Contact their IT team and make sure in the Router there are exceptions for Ports 21 to 22 (Port Forwarding)

Make sure there are exceptions for Ports 21 to 22 in the local Windows Firewall In and outbound and UDP/TCP
Issue 3.
Files Not Received. (Bepoz Issues)
Issue 3 - Troubleshooting.

If Issue 1 is resolved, check for issues with the Scheduled Job. Did it run? if No see below.
- Now Open SQL, Connect as SA (Password in Lastpass) Did this work? if yes move On.
- if no, connect as another SQL user and update the details in exportastute.bat file with Notepad.
- Save, close the exportastute.bat file.
- In SQL Management Studio, Expand the Database, Expand Programmability, Expand Stored Procedures

Run the exportastute.bat file to test.
