📄🎥 What is ResDiary?
This is a summary for the Bepoz and ResDiary integration.
About
ResDiary is an online restaurant table reservation/booking system that has been integrated with Bepoz, where Bepoz receives real-time booking data and communicates back the updated Table Status data to ResDiary
The ResDiary integration with Bepoz allows for:
-
- Receiving real-time Booking data
- Sending Table Status updates from Bepoz to ResDiary in real-time
- Ability to view Bookings in SmartPOS in a list, table map, and/or grid
- Deposit Payments that have been paid through ResDiary at the time of Booking, can be automatically applied in Bepoz when the Booking is Opened
Prerequisites
- Minimum Bepoz version of v4.6 and onwards
- For an operator to be able to setup OpenTable integration, the following privileges must be enabled
- Enable General: "Operate Tills" Flag
- System Setup Flags: "Access Venue Stores & Tills" flag
- System Setup Flags: "Maintain Venue Stores & Tills" flag
- System Setup: "Maintain Till Function Maps" flag
- Operator Maintenance 'Till Privileges' Tab
- Operator Maintenance 'General' Tab
Key Features BackOffice Setup
- To implement the ResDiary integration, a Transaction Queue and Till Extension Device both need to be created and configured
- Each SmartControl workstation will need to have the ResDiary Transaction Queue Device
- Each Till will require a ResDiary Till Extension to be installed
- Multiple ResDiary connections can be created within 1 Venue
- Also, Till Function button(s) need to be configured in BackOffice in order to retrieve bookings in SmartPOS
- There are different workflows that can occur when using the Till Function(s) including the following:
- Retrieve Reservations from ResDiary and display them in a list, table map, or grid
- From the group of retrieved Reservations, Operators can highlight a Reservation and then view its Booking Details
- Operators can also open the transaction for a Reservation that has been seated in ResDiary and continue it from SmartPOS
SmartPOS Functionality
Depending on configurations booking can be retrieved into SmartPOS in the following ways:
- Booking List
- Booking Table Map
- Booking Grid
Once bookings are retrieved in SmartPOS, Booking Details for a specific booking can be viewed which will include customer data and information about the booking such as date, time, guest count, etc.
Deposit Payments that have been paid for in ResDiary at the time of booking will be retrieved along with the booking and applied to the balance of the table when it is opened in SmartPOS
Within SmartPOS, ResDiary tables can be transferred from one table to another either using the ResDiary logic of the "Next Free Table" or to any available Table.
