Overview

This article contains links to various barcode scanner manuals which are compatible for use with bepoz.

A scanner is a 1D or 2D barcode reader connected to a POS or workstation computer using a USB or serial cable.

The manuals found below can be used for reference, programming, and reprogramming for the relevant scanner model.

 1D and 2D Barcode Differences

  • A 1D barcode is a traditional linear barcode made up of vertical lines and spaces. It usually contains a smaller amount of data and is commonly used for standard product barcodes.

  • A 2D barcode stores data in both directions, allowing it to hold more information in a smaller space. Common examples include QR codes and Data Matrix codes.

In general:

  • 1D scanners read standard linear barcodes.
  • 2D scanners can read both 1D barcodes and 2D barcodes, depending on the model.
