📄SevenRooms – Version 4.7.3 Integration Summary
Enhancements to SevenRooms one-way and two-way integrations introduced in bepoz v4.7.3
Overview
Version 4.7.3 introduced enhancements and refinements to the SevenRooms integration within bepoz, improving reservation retrieval performance, table management flexibility, and overall SmartPOS workflows.
This release supports two distinct integration models with SevenRooms:
-
One-way integration, where sales data is sent from bepoz to SevenRooms
-
Two-way integration, enabling reservation visibility and table status synchronisation between SmartPOS and SevenRooms
Each integration type is designed to support different operational requirements.
Integration Types
Two-Way Integration Overview
The two-way SevenRooms integration allows reservations and table activity to be synchronised between SevenRooms and SmartPOS in real time.
Key capabilities include:
Retrieving reservations from SevenRooms into SmartPOS
Viewing bookings in SmartPOS using a list, grid, or graphical table map
Sending table status updates from bepoz back to SevenRooms
Improved booking retrieval performance through local caching
Transferring non-reservation tables to existing reservation-linked tables
SevenRooms remains the source of truth for guest profiles, CRM data, and reporting.
One-Way Integration Overview
The one-way SevenRooms integration sends completed sales data from bepoz to SevenRooms for guest profiling and reporting purposes.
With this integration:
Sales information is sent to SevenRooms
Reservations cannot be retrieved into SmartPOS
Table statuses are not updated in SevenRooms
Table management remains POS-only
This option is suited to venues that use SevenRooms primarily for guest insights rather than live reservation management.
BackOffice Setup Overview
The BackOffice configuration required for the SevenRooms integration is typically completed by a bepoz Integrations Team member as part of the venue go-live process. The following components must be configured depending on the integration type in use.
Two-Way Integration Configuration
To enable the two-way SevenRooms integration, the following components must be configured in bepoz BackOffice:
SevenRooms Transaction Queue Device
Configured on the Venue Server
One device required per venue
Sends transactional data to SevenRooms for guest profiling
Till Extension Device
Configured on each till using the integration
Retrieves booking data and sends table status updates to SevenRooms
Till Function Buttons
Assigned to the appropriate Workstation Till Function Maps
Used to retrieve and interact with SevenRooms reservations in SmartPOS
One-Way Integration Configuration
To enable the one-way SevenRooms integration, the following must be configured:
SevenRooms Transaction Queue Device
Configured on the Venue Server
One device required per venue
Sends completed sales data to SevenRooms
Note: For either integration type, table numbers must match between SevenRooms and bepoz, and duplicate table numbers should not exist across mapped table groups.
SmartPOS Functionality
When using the two-way integration, reservations can be retrieved and viewed in SmartPOS using:
-
Booking List
-
Booking Grid
-
Graphical Table Map
In environments using the Table Sales Only configuration, reservation views are restricted and date or status filters are not available on the graphical table map when logging into the till.
Selecting a booking in SmartPOS displays booking details such as:
-
Customer information
-
Booking date and time
-
Guest count
-
Reservation notes and tags
Confirmed reservations can be opened as transactions in SmartPOS to continue service.
Table and Course Updates
Course statuses (such as Away and Served ) are sent to SevenRooms when:
-
Table Courses are configured in Venue Table Settings
-
The appropriate Table Course Till Function keys are used
Table transfers from non-mapped table groups to reservation-linked tables are supported where configured.
Overview
Version 4.7.3.0 includes many enhancements based on customer feedback along with several fixes to original functionality. The overall goal is to provide our customers with an interface that brings efficiency and timesaving workflows to their operation.
We now have two methods of interfacing with SevenRooms. We offer a one-way sales interface, which removes the table management functionality within SmartPOS, and only pushes sales information to SevenRooms.
We have also enhanced the two-way interface to offer a local cache for speedy retrieval of bookings, along with the ability to transfer non reservation tables to existing reservation tables allowing greater flexibility in venue operations.
