Tyro EFTPOS Integration Troubleshooting in bepoz

Overview

Tyro is an EFTPOS integration for bepoz that uses Tyro payment terminals to process card payments.

A single Tyro EFTPOS device can be shared across more than one till. A Tyro EFTPOS device can also be used as a Pay at Table device, allowing a bepoz operator to take the terminal to the table and accept payment directly from the customer.


Issue 1

Tyro not connecting.

Troubleshooting 1 - Steps

  1. Confirm the device is connected to Wi-Fi. Tyro can assist with testing this.

  2. Confirm the till can access the internet and is connected to the same network as the Tyro EFTPOS device.

    Check the till network settings and confirm the correct gateway and DNS IP addresses are configured. Then test internet access.

    Re-pair the Tyro EFTPOS device, or confirm the key is still paired in the Tyro Terminal Adapter program in Control Panel by using Verify Key.

    Test the Tyro EFTPOS device using its 3G, 4G, or 5G connection.

  3. Check the bepoz device settings.

    Restart Smart Controller.

    Restart the POS till completely (power-cycle).


Issue 2

Tyro Pay at Table not working.

Troubleshooting 2 - Steps

  1. Confirm the scheduled job is set up correctly.

    Job credentials and other details are stored in LastPass.

  2. Resend the IP address and port details to Tyro Support at cs@tyro.com, then follow up by calling 1300 008 976.

  3. Run the job and check Smart Controller for the Pay at Table job.

    Restart the Tyro device.

    Reboot the till and test again.


For Further Tyro Eftpos Device Troubleshooting

Open the Tyro Terminal Adapter program in Control Panel.

From this program you can:

  • Send logs directly to Tyro from the Logging tab

  • Change printing to the Tyro EFTPOS device or bepoz printers from the Printing tab

  • Pair the Tyro EFTPOS device to the till

Tyro Support will require your Merchant ID and the Device ID(s). This is stored within each device and is generally found within the Configuration Settings or Support Menu, dependant on the model of device in the venue.
