📄Connection Status and Notification Improvements in SmartPOS Mobile
We've made updates to how SmartPOS Mobile keeps you informed about your connection to the server. You'll now have clear, real-time visibility of your connection status, better messaging when the connection drops, and less disruptive notifications overall.
What's Changed?
Connection Status on the Login Screen
The login screen now displays a connection status indicator so you always know the state of your connection before you start working. Here's what each status means:

Your handset is attempting to reach the server. This may appear briefly when waking your device from sleep mode or if the server is temporarily unreachable. |

Connection Offline |
Your handset cannot reach the server. Check your network connection or contact support if the issue persists. |
The status updates automatically — there's no action required from you. When the server becomes available again, the status will return to "Connected" on its own.
Improved Reconnection Messaging During Transactions
If your connection drops while you're in the middle of a transaction, SmartPOS Mobile will now show a reconnecting message on screen so you know what's happening. Once the connection is restored, you'll see a "Connection Reestablished" notification at the top of the screen confirming you're back online.
You don't need to restart the app or take any manual steps — the app handles reconnection automatically.
Updated "Action in Progress" Notification
Note: Previously, the "Action in Progress" message would appear as a full-screen alert, which could block you from seeing the rest of the screen. This has been updated to a smaller, non-intrusive notification that appears at the top of the screen instead.
This means you can still see your current screen while the app processes a request in the background. The message appears once and clears automatically once the action is complete.
