What’s New in 4.9.0.7
🎉 Peoplevine Membership Integration — New Integration
Bepoz now connects directly to Peoplevine, the CRM and membership platform used by members’ clubs and boutique hospitality venues. Staff can recognise a member at the till, apply their membership discount automatically, and charge or refund against their Peoplevine account. No member records are copied into Bepoz — every lookup reads live from Peoplevine, so changes made in Peoplevine show at the till straight away.
- Find members fast — search by name, email, mobile or customer number, or scan the member’s card. With card prefixes configured, scanning a member card looks up and attaches the member without pressing a button first.
- See the member’s profile — check card status, house and gift card balances, membership discount, notes (such as service preferences or allergies), last visit, total spend and most purchased products before attaching.
- Membership discounts apply automatically — once a member is attached, their discount is applied to the transaction and stays attached when a table is saved and reopened.
- Pay on File — members can pay using the card stored against their Peoplevine account, with an optional tip prompt that can be switched on per till. Staff can also charge a different member’s account.
- Peoplevine stays in sync — an order is created on the member’s Peoplevine record as soon as a transaction with a member attached is saved, split tables post one order per member, and refunds are processed back to Peoplevine. Removing a member with the standard Unattach account button also cancels their Peoplevine order.
- Expired memberships — members with an expired membership can still be attached and served, but receive no membership discount and can’t pay by account.
Setup uses two new devices — the TillX Peoplevine till extension on each till, and the TransQ Peoplevine transaction queue once per venue — along with your Peoplevine API credentials. See the Peoplevine Setup and Configuration and Peoplevine Member Lookup and Profiles guides for full steps, or contact Bepoz Support.
SevenRooms — Per-Store Diaries
SevenRooms diaries can now be mapped per store, so outlets that share a venue and are separated by a store table group offset can each use their own SevenRooms credentials. Tables can also be transferred across stores’ diaries on the same base table group. Existing SevenRooms sites don’t need to change anything after upgrading.
Doshii EFTPOS — Transaction Recovery
If a Doshii EFTPOS payment request drops out part-way through (for example, an internet drop-out or no response from the server), SmartPOS now prompts the operator to recover the transaction, with Retry and Cancel options. This confirms the true payment status and avoids double-charging a customer or marking an unpaid sale as paid.
Hanshow Electronic Shelf Labels — Expired Promotions Cleared
When a promotion expires or is disabled in Bepoz, the Hanshow export now tells Hanshow to replace each product’s details in full, so old promotions are cleared from shelf labels and the Hanshow portal instead of lingering.
More Integration Updates
- IBA Promotions import — a new Promotion Priority setting on the import job lets you choose the priority assigned to imported promotions. If it isn’t set, promotions keep the existing default priority of 1.
- Zen Global Inventory — a new “Show in Store” option on the Zen Global Inventory Update job sends only the product sizes that are set to Show In Store. The existing Product Flag filter is unchanged.
Bug Fixes in 4.9.0.7
EFTPOS & Payments
- Non-integrated EFTPOS on tables — Completing a non-integrated EFTPOS payment on a table no longer shows an “Object reference” error (introduced in 4.9.0.6).
- Linkly settlement receipts — Linkly EFTPOS settlement receipts, including those from the scheduled auto-settlement task, print to the POS printer again after upgrading.
Tables & POS
- Nil-balance Bistro tables — A Bistro table with a $0.00 balance can now be closed. Previously the till reported that the table might be open on another till and saved it instead of closing it.
- SevenRooms table transfers — Tables that aren’t mapped to SevenRooms can now be transferred to other table groups on tills with the SevenRooms till extension enabled.
- Condiment selection — Condiment lists with more products than fit on one page now move on to the next condiment list correctly, instead of showing an empty screen (introduced in 4.9.0.2).
- Login keypad position — The operator PIN keypad is now centred on the new SmartPOS login screen at 1024 x 768 and 4K resolutions.
- US registration prompt — The SmartPOS registration prompt for US venues now shows the current Oolio Bepoz logo and the US support email address.
Printing & Receipts
- Guest name on room-charge receipts — The guest name and room number print on room-charge receipts again after upgrading.
- Account discount balance — On multi-venue setups, the account discount balance printed on receipts now matches the account after a promotion is applied.
Reporting & BackOffice
- Profit calculations — Profit, Profit Amt and Profit % in BackOffice reports (such as Product Summaries) match 4.8 again. With Profit Reporting set to CostEx RetailEx, profit is calculated ex-tax regardless of the Include Inclusive Taxes setting.
- Till Balance totals for online orders — Nett and Drawer totals on the Till Balance report are now correct for transactions imported through the XML API that include an order percentage.
- Voucher Summary report — The report no longer fails with an overflow error at venues with large voucher totals.
- Date Last Sale — Operator Maintenance now updates an operator’s Date Last Sale after a sale.
- Membership payments — Adding a membership payment to an account in BackOffice no longer shows an “Object reference” error.
Online Ordering & Room Service
- Transactions on higher table groups — Transactions sent through the XML API (for example, room service orders) no longer fail with an “Index was outside the bounds of the array” error when the table group is higher than 7.
Platform, Performance & Upgrades
- Upgrading older databases — Upgrading a database from a version earlier than 4.7.3.0 no longer aborts with a “Cannot Pre-update Table data!” error.
- Faster upgrades on large databases — The database update runs much faster on very large databases and no longer fills the transaction log.
- SmartController at busy venues — Faster table lookups stop SmartController slowing down and timing out during busy service.
- SmartController start-up errors — Selling products within 60 seconds of SmartController starting no longer causes “Object reference” errors.
