Release Notes | 4.8.2.2

Release Date: 27/01/2026

The Bepoz Product Team is thrilled to introduce our first release of the year 2026: Fortuna 4.8.2.2

Payments / Oolio Pay & Integrations

Oolio Pay – incremental pre‑auth for bar tabs (no manager override required)

  • For bar tabs using pre‑authorisation, the system can now automatically increase the authorised amount when the tab exceeds its limit.

  • Key behaviour:

    • When the tab hits its limit, instead of prompting for a manager override, the system can perform an incremental pre‑auth for a configurable amount.

    • The tab limit and the card’s authorised amount are kept in sync.

    • This reduces declined payments at finalisation and removes unnecessary friction for staff.

  • Controlled by new venue configuration options (e.g. incremental pre‑auth amount, forced pre‑auth on open via table group).

Aristocrat – support for customer PIN entry

  • Added support for customer PIN entry in the Aristocrat integration.

  • This enables more secure, compliant workflows where customers enter a PIN, improving authentication and aligning with gaming/venue requirements.

Promotions & Pricing

Metcash Host – pricebook import error resolved

  • An error that occurred when importing certain Metcash Host pricebooks has been fixed.

  • Metcash pricebooks attached to the job now import without causing the import process to fail.

Products & Back Office

Copying products with comments/descriptions now works reliably

  • Copying a product in Backoffice that had a Comment ID / Description ID previously:

    • Showed an error during the copy process.

    • Created the product but did not retain the new product name, forcing users to manually rename it.

  • The copy workflow has been corrected so that:

    • No error is displayed when copying products with comment/description IDs.

    • The new product name is correctly saved.

TicketIT export – products without barcodes no longer break the job

  • When exporting to TicketIT, if a product size/variant flagged for TicketIT had no barcode, the export job failed with an “Object reference” error.

  • The export logic now:

    • Skips product size records that have no barcode.

    • Allows the job to complete and export all correctly configured product sizes.

Product sort glitch on till startup resolved

  • On some tills, products were temporarily appearing with Sort = 1 when the POS started up.

  • The sort order would correct only after taking a payment or logging out/in.

  • Startup behaviour has been fixed so that product sort order is correct immediately, without requiring any workaround actions.

Vouchers & Accounts

Gift Certificate vouchers can be issued without forcing an account charge

  • The Issue Voucher function for Gift Certificates (GC) previously:

    • Did nothing when configured not to ask for an account.

    • Only worked when the GC was charged to an account.

  • This has been fixed so that:

    • Gift Certificates can again be issued without charging to an account, matching behaviour from earlier versions (e.g. 4.7.4.4).

SmartPOS / Service Charge & Tips

Service charge can no longer be removed multiple times on the same sale

  • Previously, removing a manual service charge from a table could be repeated multiple times, even though the balance was already correct.

  • The workflow has been updated so that:

    • Once a service charge is removed, it no longer reappears in the Sales Journal UI.

US credit‑card receipts now include Tip, Total & Signature lines (Adyen / Oolio Pay)

  • Printed credit‑card receipts (merchant & customer copies) now show:

    • A Tip line

    • A Total line

    • A Signature line

  • This aligns with standard US table‑service workflows where guests write in the tip, total, and sign the merchant copy.

  • Applies only to credit‑card receipts, not standard itemised POS receipts, and supports scenarios where embedded Adyen receipts are disabled.

Database

Database tool no longer overwrites Shared Data Path when refreshing

  • When running database.exe and refreshing the database (or updating tables), the Shared Data Path was incorrectly reset to the SQL database folder path.

  • Behaviour has been corrected:

    • The Shared Data Path remains as originally configured and is no longer overwritten by a database refresh.
