Released 11 February 2026 – Stability improvements, bug fixes, database performance and integration updates
Overview
Version 4.8.2.3 is a Fortuna maintenance build focused on stability, performance, and integration reliability across live venue environments.
This release resolves edge-case issues reported in table service workflows, loyalty and account handling, sales synchronisation to Head Office, and SmartPOS operations. It also delivers performance improvements for larger databases and enhances multiple third-party integrations, including Ticket-IT ESL, Zen (LMG), and OpenTable.
Highlights of this release include:
-
Improved stability for table service workflows including reopening tables, splitting transactions, attaching accounts, and applying condiments
-
More resilient venue-to-Head Office sales synchronisation
-
Resolution of SmartPOS "No Sale" audit log errors and table usage regressions
-
Enhanced Ticket-IT ESL payload structure and batch synchronisation performance
-
Support for OpenTable deposits within bepoz
-
Improved handling for larger or slower databases during upgrades
Fixes & Improvements
1. Sales Sync to Head Office (HO)
Sales not pushing to Head Office from venues (sync locking issue)
Fixed a problem where TableLocking functionality could throw an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error, preventing venue sales from being processed at Head Office.
The sync routine now handles this scenario safely, ensuring venue sales reliably reach Head Office.
2. SmartPOS – No Sale & Error Logs
"No Sale" causing audit error log entries
Addressed an issue where performing a No Sale operation could log an error in the audit log: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object; Process_ProdPromos"
The No Sale workflow now completes cleanly without generating spurious errors.
3. Loyalty, Accounts & Memberships
Condiments + accounts: index out of bounds
Fixed an "Index Out Of Bounds" error in AddCondiment_After when combining condiments with account attachment in certain loyalty/account workflows.
This improves stability for venues using accounts and loyalty alongside complex condiment setups.
Split window account behaviour with service charge
Resolved an issue where adding accounts from the Split Window could cause the number of products and the balance owing to be inflated when service charge was enabled.
Balances and line counts now correctly reflect the actual items and configured service charges.
4. Tables & Table Service
Reopening tables with tips and card details
Fixed a bug where reopening a table and tip through the Maintain Transaction screen did not allow the associated credit card (CC) information to be cleared.
Operators can now correctly clear CC details when adjusting or reopening such transactions.
"Table currently in use elsewhere" / Quick Sale
Resolved an error in Smart Hospitality Till where operators could see:
"This table cannot be processed because it is currently in use elsewhere"
Also corrected a regression from v4.7.3.1 where the Quick Sale / PIP function began requiring a table selection in v4.8.1.4.
Quick Sale / PIP behaviour is restored to the expected workflow and table usage conflicts are reduced.
5. Interfaces – Ticket-IT ESL
Batch product upload and payload improvements for Ticket-IT
Introduced support for batch product uploads to Ticket-IT, enabling faster and more scalable product synchronisation for larger venues.
Updated the Ticket-IT product payload structure to support an extended ProductData object, allowing richer and more flexible data exchange between bepoz and Ticket-IT ESL.
Customer impact (Ticket-IT ESL):
Faster initial syncs and ongoing updates for large product catalogues
Better alignment with Ticket-IT's current data model, improving shelf label update reliability
6. Interfaces – Loyalty & Inventory (Zen / Bottlemart LMG)
Delays loading offers at POS (LMG Zen integration)
Resolved significant delays when loading offers at POS across multiple venues via the Bottlemart (LMG Zen) loyalty integration.
Offer retrieval and display at POS is now significantly faster and more consistent.
Zen Inventory – referred item support
Added support in Zen Inventory posts for Referred Item and Referred Item Ratio.
This ensures inventory movements correctly account for referred items, improving stock accuracy for customers using Zen integrations.
7. Interfaces – OpenTable
Support for OpenTable deposits in Bepoz
Added support for OpenTable deposits so deposits captured in OpenTable can be handled within bepoz.
This enables tighter alignment between reservations and POS, improving reconciliation and front-of-house workflows for venues using OpenTable.
Database (Internal Use Only)

Database Upgrade Timeouts on Large or Slow Systems
When running the database upgrade executable during version updates, upgrade routines could time out on larger databases or slower servers due to new calculated fields and indexes.
Behaviour has been corrected
Upgrade routines are now more resilient on large datasets
Database updates no longer fail due to timeout conditions on slower servers
This improves the reliability of upgrade processes for venues with high transaction volumes or larger database environments.
