📄What is Linkly?
This article outlines the Linkly software bridge.
Overview
Linkly (formerly PC-EFTPOS) is a middleware technology provider used in Australia and New Zealand to connect POS systems to supported EFTPOS payment terminals.
Linkly does not process payments and is not a payment provider — it is simply the communication bridge between the POS and certain acquirers.
Bepoz uses Linkly for specific integrations, including Oolio Pay (WPay) and the Australian Bank acquirers.
How Linkly Works
Linkly acts as the connection layer between the POS and the EFTPOS terminal. It manages:
-
Sending the transaction total from Bepoz to the terminal
-
Returning the approval/decline result
-
Supporting refunds and reconciliation flows (where available)
-
Some device communication functions like surcharging or tipping (depending on provider)
Linkly itself never handles funds — all money movement and settlement is performed by the actual acquirer.
Why Linkly Matters for Bepoz
Many EFTPOS terminals require Linkly to function with Bepoz.
However, Linkly does not automatically mean compatibility with every EFTPOS provider.
The key question is always:
“Who is your Payment Provider?”
This determines whether the integration is supported.
Supported Providers via Linkly
Oolio Pay (WPay)
-
Fully supported by Bepoz
-
One-stop support through Oolio Pay
-
You will never be sent to Linkly for service
-
Ideal for venues wanting an Oolio-led experience
Australian Bank Acquirers
Supported via Linkly:
-
Westpac (incl. St George, BankSA, Bank of Melbourne)
-
Commonwealth Bank (CBA)
-
ANZ
-
NAB
These are supported by Bepoz; however in some cases venues may be referred to Linkly or their bank if terminal-level issues occur.
Not Supported via Linkly
Bepoz does not support integrations to independent payment companies such as:
-
Zeller
-
Live Payments
-
Till Payments
-
Next Payments
-
SmartPay
-
(and any others not listed as partners)
If a venue uses one of these through Linkly or an integration was unintentionally enabled, please escalate internally.
Tyro Note
Tyro does not use Linkly — it integrates directly with Bepoz.
Summary
Linkly is the middleware that allows Bepoz to integrate with certain supported EFTPOS providers, including Oolio Pay (WPay) and the Australian Banks.
Linkly is not a payment provider — it simply enables POS-to-terminal communication.
For the best, most streamlined support experience, Oolio Pay remains the recommended and fully supported solution across the Oolio ecosystem.
